Berks & South Bucks County ASA Development Meet 2023

The Berks & South Bucks ASA heldis holding its tenth County Development Gala aimed at swimmers who do not regularly achieve county times. The meet wasis licensed Level 3, and wasis open to swimmers of clubs affiliated to BSBASA aged between 10 and 17 on the last day of the year.

Strokes	50m and 100m - all strokes; 200m - all strokes; 100m IM and 200 IM (all age groups), Team 4x50m Medley and Freestyle Relays (10-14 yrs only).
Sessions	The meet will have 2 sessions (compared to 3 in previous years).
Closing Date for Entries	27th September 2023

Clubs will be able make an entry on behalf of their swimmers from August.

Individual swimmers must enter via their clubs, and clubs make a consolidated payment. Note that the meet is NOT first-come, first-served.

The meet is open for clubs to make an entry on behalf of their swimmers.

Note that the meet is NOT first-come, first-served, so there is no need to enter unless you have all the swimmers and times you wish to use. We do not update entry times once made to reflect later swims.

Club Meet Entry Managers may also make Team Entries for the Relay races, and purchase poolside passes for coaches and team managers online. See the information regarding entering your club's swimmers.

After receiving THREE TIMES the entries for previous years, the meet is VERY over-subscribed.

In order to ensure the meet does not over run the pool time available we have had to restrict the number of accepted entries. However, thanks to our friends at Windsor SC, we have been able to extend the second session until 18:30, allowing us to accept more entries than we would otherwise have been able to.

These are the lists (Note: the documents are large - careful which pages you print) of accepted (348 pages) and rejected (15 pages) swims; Alternatively you can look at this list, which contains both accepted and rejected swims and allows you to filter by club and/or session.

PLEASE NOTE: In order to accommodate as many entries as possible, we have made the following changes to the previously advertised running order of the meet:

The freestyle relay event has been moved from the second session to the first session, in between events 10 and 11.
Session 2 starts 45 minutes later than previously advertised. Due to the length of Session 2, there will be a 15-minute break between events 21 and 23.
We estimate the meet will finish around 18:20 (extended from the previous finish time of 17:00).
