County Championships 2007-2008

The Speed Swimming County Championships for 2008 will be held at Maidenhead Magnet Pools on 4 consecutive Saturdays:

The results of all 10 sessions are available in either online searchable form, courtesy of Reading Swimming Club, or as results sheets.

These come in two documents: the County Age Group Competition (with full race details and team events), and the County Championship results.
County Age Group (Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4) and County Championships (Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4). There is also a report on the final BAGCAT standings. (What are BAGCATs?) These were computed using the 2008 BAGCAT adjustment factors.

The aggregate trophies were awarded to the top team or boy/girl from the Club Aggregate results and Boy/Girl Aggregate results.

All entries have now been processed entries and paperwork has been posted to clubs today. This includes an Accepted Swims Summary by club, and an Accepted Swims Summary by swimmer sheet which should be distributed by clubs.

We have been able to accept all entries that met the consideration times and conditions. We have made a small number of swimmers reserves in the Mixed 1500, Mixed 800, Girls 400m Free and Boys 400m IM. This is clearly shown on the Accepted Swims Summary. Details of the reserve swimmer procedure is contained in the Information for competitors sheet.

We will be running the meet without cards (but see above and below regarding reserves and team events) and it is therefore very important that swimmers not intending to swim withdraw. Full details of how to withdraw are contained in the Information for Competitors and is also on the reverse of the Accepted Swims Summary. Swimmers and coaches, please make sure you are familiar with this.

In the case of team events, the team declaration card which records the swimmers details must be posted at the withdrawals desk by the declaration time. If it is not posted, the team will not be able to swim.

Please note that the session times have changed slightly from those originally published. These are shown on the Accepted Swims Summary.
